Why Does My AC Blow Warm Air in Hot Weather?
Hello everyone, I’m not an air-conditioning technician and was hoping someone could offer some advice. My air-conditioning system runs, but it doesn’t cool properly when the weather is very hot. Any ideas on what might cause this?

If your air conditioner runs but struggles to cool on very hot days, common causes include dirty filters or coils, low refrigerant, the unit being undersized for the room, poor airflow around the outdoor unit, or ageing components struggling under high heat.
To help narrow it down, could you share:
Brand and model
Type (split, ducted, portable)
Age of the system
kW size of the unit
Room size it’s cooling
Whether the filters are clean
If the outdoor unit has good airflow and runs normally
This should help point towards a problem
